What happens inside a lesson
Lessons are hands-on: children listen, tap, trace, speak and read — they never just watch.
A warm South African voice reads letters, sounds, words and stories out loud, so even children who cannot read yet can work on their own.
In letter lessons, your child taps "Say the letter" and says the letter's name, then "Say the sound" and says its phonics sound. The app listens for about 5 seconds, shows exactly what it heard, and only accepts the correct answer — with friendly guidance and unlimited tries.
Lessons build step by step: letters and sounds, then blending, then words, sentences and full storybooks with comprehension questions — all CAPS-aligned.
At the end of each stage your child does a short recap and test. They move on only once they pass, so no gaps are left behind.
The Parent Progress Report shows what each child has completed, and you can create a profile for every child in the family.
When a grade is finished, your child earns a printable certificate to celebrate their reading journey.
